Our house is located directly across from a very old abandoned radio station. Tonight the storm clouds above it were amazing!! The storm is blowing over with very little rain but some beautiful lightning. The clouds were thick and heavy. It was a catching sight to see!
Not sure this will happen here in Buffalo today. It is raining again and spoiling our fun day of heading to Ontario to visit Marineland. Oh well guess we will hit the grocery store and make some delicious food for our Holiday weekend.
This is across the street from our house and I swear I see the end of the rainbow. I’d like to type more but I have to go see if my pot of gold is there!!!!
My sidewalk is now disappearing under the rain. It has rained all but 2 days in the past 14 days. My pastures are under water, my garden is sitting tilled but empty, the lawn is up to my calf almost, we have played 3 of 9 scheduled softball games and it shows rain for the weekend. We can’t catch a break!!
You may be getting tired of all my cloud pictures but this has been such a stormy spring and the clouds are AMAZING!! Tonight coming out of the ice rink in Fort Erie this was the sky above us. The air was warm and humid and almost “thick” feeling but it was this beautiful picture above my head that took my breath away!!
I have posted our weather has been horrible with very little sun, tons of rain and dark gloomy days and that we live on an Island approximately 26 miles around. The only way on and off is via 2 bridges.
This morning I was driving up the bridge on my way to work and the fog was so thick it appeared I was driving to nowhere.
A few yards ahead I saw the familiar blue arches leading to my next destination!!
This was the scene out of my office window all day today. And while it’s great to have rain, we have had too much already this spring season as you can see by the following pictures
poor strawberry plants trying to grow
Front of our yard
chickens looking for worms
break in the rain and a male and female finch came to our window feeder
And while the forecast predicts 2 more days of rain, I will count my blessings as there are terrible storms in the middle of our nation ravaging homes and people with tornadoes. I will take the rough spring and be thankful we are warm, safe, healthy and dry.
