It’s majestic reflecting on the water with the pink hue. This was the sunset from the boat tonight over Canada. It was 87 degrees and humid. Perfect night for a sunset swim and ride.
Here is the progression of the sunset
Photo’s courtesy of my friend, Tom Nemeth, from his neighborhood on the Island. I could not get a clear shot with the woods behind our house. Was so glad he was able to capture the beauty!!
Seriously, I have never seen such beautiful skies in all my 48 years as I have this year. Tonight the skies were a spectacular sight. On one side of the Island towards Buffalo, NY they had blue skies. On the other side towards Niagara Falls, NY there was an extreme downpour of rain, (enough to cancel the college baseball doubleheader game my mother was at). However due to the extreme differences on either side of the Island, the skies overhead during the sunset gave us the pleasure of one of the most beautiful scenes ever.
The man of the house had to take a quick overnight trip out of town tonight for work leaving me to handle daughters voice lessons, dinner, homework, studying, and nightly animal chores/stall cleaning. My neighbor stepped in and took the kids on their bikes to the end of our street so they could fish and hang out in the Niagara River. This is a little over a mile from our ranch.
These pictures are a reminder of what young friendship is all about and a reminder of how blessed we are to live where we live 🙂
This is from the west end of the Island we live on. It faces Niagara Falls, Canada across the Niagara River that surrounds us. (Skylon Tower on the right)
