Snow

Sissy stuck her head out and went right back into the coop after we had snow last night.

All winter we begged for snow!  My kids love snow, we are outdoor people regardless of the snow.  But we only had a few lucky days of it compared to last year when we were buried most of the winter (this was the last week of March 2015)

Now we have switched to “spring” mode and sure enough here comes the snow!!

I actually planted bulbs yesterday from our hyacinth plants and the primrose are in full bloom as seen in the pictures below:

And this is the little garden today after a bit of the warm sun melting the snow.

Tonight we are getting another 5-8 inches so somehow, someway…we need to switch our minds back into winter mode for a few days.

Easier said than done!!

Amazing Clouds

These were the clouds over the soccer field tonight.

I am amazed at the skies sometimes.  It almost appears to be a heart displaying itself.

In the second picture the clouds seem to be sinking, rolling in and enveloping the houses in the distance.  You could actually feel the cold air from them.

Take the time every day to look up into the sky.  It’s worth every second!

Storm Clouds and a surprise

Beautiful storm clouds rolling in over the marina tonight.  The kids had just enough time to enjoy the surprise of our new boat, “Chasin’ Chances” before the storm hit.

Even Grandma had time to look it over

It was a race against clouds to get back home, close all the windows and tuck the animals in before the rain…and we won 🙂

Painted Clouds

Yesterday evening the clouds with the sun behind them were so beautiful it looked like they were painted in a perfect sky.  Sitting on our back deck chatting with my mother and watching the kids jump on the trampoline after a very long day of housework, barn chores, and gardening, it was the perfect scene to relax with especially with one of my favorite beautiful trees coming back to life after the winter.  I love that weeping willow tree!
